Feedback Sunday (#3)

Okay - I usually like to get feedback on Friday, but I've been pretty busy. (Please write any and all complaints on a crisp US $100 bill and mail it priority shipping to me here at my computer desk. Otherwise . . . feel free to read and pretend like it is still Friday. Consider it an experiment in discount time travel.)

I was thinking and I decided that this week's foray into feedback will be focused upon dreams. I would love to hear all about the strangest, most realistic feeling, scariest, whatever . . . dreams that you had within the recent past.

I'm looking forward to hearing all about the bizarre events that happen out there when we all turn off the lights and fall asleep.

Thanks (as always) for the input -

Ben O.

Hoo boy, dreams! U've come to the right place. One day I'll devote a whole post to my dreams.
But for now I'll tell u the freakiest one I've had of late. It was on a sunday morning; my hubby had left to drop some friends off at the airport really early & while he was gone I dreamt that we (me, hubby & the friends in question) were in the car at the intersection up the road, and a pale blue car jumped a red light and we almost crashed into it.
But here's the freaky part:
Later that morning Hubby & I were chatting, and he was telling me how he'd been so p*ssed off on the way to the airport earlier, because this pale blue car had jumped a red light and almost crashed into them...
True story, I swear.

That's is pretty freaky, Terri.

I wonder if the pale blue color has any significance.

A few months ago I dreamt that I was in the backseat of a car. My friend and her ex were in the front, and we were speeding along an expressway that was raised about 50 stories. At one point, the road curved and I could see that we were going to crash into a highrise in downtown Chicago. I closed my eyes the moment before impact, and everything went grey at the moment of my death. I heard a voice that said what a shame, to die at 25, with so much left to do.

Years ago in a dream I was flying several feet above the ground on a giant candy cane, steering and everything - no crashes. Then there was the whole sex with Jesus and Marilyn Manson thing but not at the same time. And the time I was turning into a raptor... hands turned to talons. And the repeating ones where my mom was an alien (go figure). Yeah, maybe I need help.

Dang...my kids don't let me sleep long enough to actually have dreams.

I do recall a particularly vivd dream I had once when I was knocked up though...it involved Eminem and not a whole lot of clothes.

(sigh)

Other than that I used to have these dreams ALL the time that all of the sudden it was term end in law school and I hadn't attended a SINGLE class all semester and thought, "Dude, I'm totally f'd."

(I never took the LSAT, maybe these dreams were to confirm that I'd done the right thing by not going to law school)

Mama - I went to law school and I had those dreams too. (the ones about law school, not the ones about eminem and being knocked up).

Sometimes I am back in High School band (at age 32 no less) and I don't know any of the music. Is that strange?

I think alligator skin chaps are illegal in all but 3 states. I might have to report you.

I rarely dream, but it just so happens I had one last night. I'm at this event, and Rob Thomas is singing, but noooobody is into it. Then the coordinators stop the show and decide to rearrange the room. Except they took out almost all of the seating so people could dance, but nobody was getting up. Hell, nobody was even moving or singing along.

So I snatched up Rob Thomas and took him somewhere else. Things are going oh-so-fabulous and it looks like we may go out again, or at least make-out at the end of the night until one tragic, tragic flaw.

Rob Thomas starts using the visor mirror to put on make-up. Full face of it. As he's putting on his lipstick, he trys to give me lipstick application tips. Blotting with his finger and everything! It was a lovely wine color that he used.

Thanks for stopping by my site!

Don't often dream, but the freakiest one is when you dream that you are falling. I am sure this has happened to most of us. While I was writing my Matric exams I was subjected to some horrid nightmares which involved Zulu warriors with spears and things(might be because I was writing History) and I thought I was awake and saw them in the passage of our house coming towards my bed. I realized I was dreaming and tried desperately to wake up. That was just aweful and I will never forget that experience.

the reoccuring one that still haunts me goes back as far as i can remember to when i was 2 and 3ish. i was dreaming that i was riding with my mom or dad in the car (me, in the front seat, b/c there were NO child safety seat laws back then) and suddenly the driver would vanish just as we were rounding a curve and i would have to lean over and steer the car to keep from going over a hill or charging the telephone pole, etc. when i was about 25, i was having a similar conversation w/ my parents and my mom said that that made so much sense, b/c when i was that age, i didnt like to be left in the car while it was running. i screamed until it was turned off.

My most recent dream (last week) was that I was running a marathon with my younger sister (who actually runs marathons, I don't) and I finished way before her and wasn't even out of breath and couldn't figure out why she's always such a wreck after running one.

Me, being the smart sister, have not told her about the dream because she'd kick my butt.

I had a dream that I was eating a large strawberry and it turns out it was hollowed out on the inside and filled with coleslaw.
