Never Read Your Own Press

Here's something sort of interesting for ya . . .

Apparently our little blog has been "reviewed" by a site called I Talk Too Much.

Right out of the box, I got ripped apart for making use of the free and readily available blogspot templates (Hello . . . they're FREE and READILY AVAILABLE. As in no extra effort or money.) Anyway, they do give the Station three out of five hand smacks overall. I'm pretty sure the individual actually performing the review must have gotten a kick out of some of my posts, because they wrote this -

"I can’t put my finger on why, but I actually quite enjoyed this blog."

I guess that's something . . . right?

Ben O.

BTW - If you have some free time (and I know you do) surf on over there and leave a comment telling them just how much you love and adore the Procrastination Station and how your life simply couldn't go on with out it. Or not.)

Firsties!

I like your blog Ben O., simply because it's refreshing. I've been hearing too much whining lately. You're a breath of fresh air. Something not to serious, with humor strewn through.

I'll be here for awhile. :)

Who cares what they think? We're the only ones that matter.

Aren't we?

I'm proud of your blog. I'm more proud of you as a person and I know you pretty well. Just remember that to bring humor into someone's life is a privilege afforded to only a few.
As my dad once told me. "The only things you do in this world that lasts are the things you teach your children and the things you do for other people". So keep doing what your doing and keep us laughing.

I love your blog. I think I might have to give out my own awards pretty soon, perhaps on my one year anniversary in February? That's right, I've been blogging for almost a year now! *smug strut around Procrastination Station* Isn't that funny how both of our blog titles imply some sort of "train station"? You can get off at Procrastination Station or Sadico Junction--
You are the funniest blog I read and that's a straight fact, Jack.
By the by,
How did that website find your blog?

Well, I looked up "I talk too much" and I wouldn't pay too much attention to what this potty-mouth group has to say, good or bad. They sound like really desperate housewives!!! Besides who made them official critics? Anybody can say anything these days, but most of us (including Procrastination Station) manage to say it with more class than "ITTM"
Keep up the good work, Ben O. Post Oak

Puhleeze...complaining about the template? That's like complaining about the wrapping paper on your Christmas present. Isn't it what's inside that counts (i.e., the thought)? Not the wrap job!!!

I like your blog because it just makes me giggle that your mom comments on it. That is so sweet.
I won't tell my mother the address to mine. Uh-uh. Not gonna happen.

Ben I went to look at the link and leave a comment but after reading a bit of their stuff I decided they ain't high enough on the food chain to be given a second thought, never mind wasting energy on leaving a comment on their blog.

Procrastination Station Rocks, baby!!!

What Ben failed to mention is that he turned his site in for review. ;)

Trust me when I say 3 out of 5 is damn good from their site. Need I remind you that you must have submitted your site for review yourself and where you submit it there is a warning. There is no doubt they dish it out but I used mine as contructive critism and actually resubmitted my site to them for another review after changing some suggestions by them as well as other readers. I at first will admit I was upset with my review and after a couple of emails with the reviewer, I saw her point. It just wasn't stated quite clearly enough for me in the review. Remember though, not everyone will like your blog or layout. As long as you are happy with it, it shouldn't matter what anyone else says anyways.

Zombster - Thanks alot - I'll be here all week. Seriously . . . I'm glad you check in for your regular fix, bro.

Anne - Naturally. Nobody can even come close to comparing with the Procrastination Station regulars. I'm thinking about printing up freakin' T-Shirts for you people. To say you all totally rock is putting it mildly.

Beading Gal - Thanks - I like the new Christmas Themed picture. It is sort of humbling thinking that actual living people (who can choose for themselves) come here and read it each day. Mindblowing, actually.

Anon - I know who you are . . .

Making people laugh is pretty special. Someday I'd like to give it a try.

Sadie - Thank you - Saying I'm the funniest blog you read is really saying something since I happen to know that you have been known to read a blog or two now and then. I never really thought about the whole train thing, but I guess it is pretty cool. I just like the way Station rhymes with Procrastination. I wish it was deeper than that, but it just ain't.

Oh - I forget how I found that bizarre site. I think I was blog-surfing and some site commented on how they had been reviewed and I naievly surfed on over and filled in the info to be checked out.

Anon #2 - I totally agree. I am a bit embarrased actually for posting about it now after hearing all of you saying how much you enjoy reading my blog. I always try and keep the Station reasonably clean. I hope no sensitive eyes were damaged by hitting their site.

Kathleen - I agree . . . it's a little like complaining that free money is green instead of blue.

Nypinta - Yep, my Mom rocks.

Terri - yep, sorry about the poor quality. In the future I will refrain from sending you high-quality people anywhere as suspect.

Chatty - Yes I did, but don't we all at somepoint. I was curious what someone else thought.

Slim - that is interesting, actually.

Z. Lama - Thanks a ton - We are in the amuzing people business here. Even undead people like yourself.

Strings - you posted while I was commenting. I hope you are right.
